I am VERY excited to announce The Berkeley Potters Guild‘s Annual Spring Seconds Sale because I need the space back in my studio! Sadly, I have a ton of seconds this year because I have been having major issues with my signature blue and red colors and my newly introduced lime green color. There has been over-running, hazy, bubbly, splotchy surfaces and some fine line cracks showing up on ware in almost every firing. My heart sinks until I realize, wait, we have the seconds sale in May! Then I feel better because it gives everyone a chance – regardless of income level – to purchase one of my pieces.
Believe me, I would like it if everyone had a piece of ezme because I honestly feel like I imbue my pieces with happiness, optimism and positivity. This is not to say that I feel like this all the time (especially now with the never ending pandemic, climate change and horrifying war), but it is definitely why I make my work. It makes me feel better too, especially the silly, dopey birds that make me laugh when I paint them. Therapy in action!
Prices will be 30%-70% off retail prices. There are about 15 other artists showing at the Seconds Sale as well. Masks are still required at the Guild and we really appreciate customers continuing to assist in the continuing good health of our Guild members… So, please come join us:
