Ezme wares will be available at these fine shopping establishments for the holidays!!!
The Abrams-Claghorn Gallery in Albany, CA
The Pence Gallery Holiday Market in Davis, CA
I love both of these locations — the people that run them and their ethos! Buy local!!!
Eileen Hendren runs the gift shop at the Pence Gallery which is open from now until December 24th from 11:30am-5pm in beautiful downtown Davis, California. I drove my work 45 minutes there and back because she is so nice and supportive of handmade art! While in the gallery, check out Eileen’s very reasonably priced ceramic work. Her paintings are amazing and I picked up a beautiful ornament (present shhh!) that she gave me because she is that kind of awesome! While you are in Davis, check out the Natsoulas Gallery too which is a literal icon/bastion for California ceramics art.
The Abrams-Claghorn Gallery is owned by my friend and peer, Robby Abrams, who has been a supporter and pusher of ceramics for literally *years* as a fellow ceramics maker/sculptor himself. But his gallery attracts way more than ceramics and you can find carefully curated jewelry, prints, gift cards, textiles, leather work, wood art, spices, COVID-19 face masks, etc, in his store.
Literally the last time I was there he was promoting all of Solano Avenue as a destination point, the time before he was meeting with an amazing leather worker (seriously these guys ROCK!) and the time before that he was promoting vote love stickers and gave me one for free cuz that is literally Robby!!!
Also, if you like my honey pots (exclusive to his gallery and the Berkeley Potters Guild), thank Robby, because without him, I wouldn’t be making them! He asked me to make them for his shop, and I took up the challenge!!! Oh and don’t get me started on the art gallery portion of his shop that he gives over to new ideas, POCs and high school students. Support his shop! We are so lucky to have it!
Locally owned, small businesses during COVID-19 need your love!!!! Thank you! xoxoxoxoxoxo ezme.
