Happy Spring!  Spring is one of my favorite times of year because I LOVE cleaning and spring cleaning is my favorite.  I know, I know I am quite weird but my OCD nature loves scrubbing oven parts with a toothbrush – what can I say?

Anyway, the best thing that happens in Spring is the Annual Seconds Sale at the Berkeley Potters Guild because we can clean out our closets, storage bins and shelves of all the sad little souls who don’t quite meet the exacting standards of being worthy for sale as a “first”.  Ceramics is KNOWN for firing flaws — little tiny hairline cracks, color not turning out that way you hoped, little black smudge marks, a little more warp to the bowl than acceptable.  Argh!  It drives one insane.  But these little guys still deserve love and a home and they get there with rock bottom prices starting this weekend.
